Fine Day to Try JapaCurry

Fine Day to Try JapaCurry

San Franciscocorner, food truck, katsu curry

I looked out of my office window today and saw JapaCurry. A food truck I heard about and being that I love Katsu Curry, it was on my list. And with them sitting outside the office, I had to run down and give it a try.

It’s your typical food truck. Order in one window, get your number, and wait for everything at the other window with the rest of the anxious patrons. Thankfully, there weren’t too many at the time I went. So I wasn’t cursing at too many people who got there scrumptious meal before I did. And for all those curious, I’m pretty sure the Katsu wasn’t pre-made and sitting around. It was still nice and crunchy by the time I brought this back to my desk. Oh lunch was good.

Verdict: Yes, try it. When I’m in the mood for Katsu Curry, I’m going to need to look them up.

While there’s more on the menu, I had to try out the traditional Katsu Curry. That Kurobuta Pork Sausage Curry dish definitely raised my eyebrow. Next time. Note they only take cash.

The Containers @JapaCurry

Doesn’t look like much huh? Typical food containers these days, but hey, it’s what’s inside that matters.

Random JapaCurry Sighting

My JapaCurry sighting. Nestled on the corner of Howard and 1st. And best of all, no line! Ok, so it was still early around 11am. Lines would beckon in half an hour. So you see, I had to go down there.

Here’s a naked view of the crunchy goodness. Made so well and to order in that food truck. Good job on the fry and a tasty cut of pork. All this before I lather on the curry. I would have showed you that, but it doesn’t make for a good picture. Plus I don’t put all the curry on there. I like to keep the crunchiness and dip while I eat. So having it via a food truck actually works for me as they keep the curry off the katsu. $8.00USD
