Last Time at Candlestick
Generally I wouldn’t write about sports. And if you talked to my friends, they’d say the same thing. However, this day I couldn’t pass up writing about. It was the day I got to watch the Niners battle the Panthers. But not only did I get access to the field before the game, I got seats right behind the goal post where the Niners go in and out of the stadium. That’s right, good ol Kap was well within stalker reach. Fortunately, there were no stalkers and what I got were up and close pictures as he walked by. And no folks, no zoom was involved. I’m a prime lens kinda guy ya know.
Another thing that made this a unique occasion was, as the title suggests, that this was my last time at Candlestick Park. I’m not from here but back in the day I was a huge Montana and Young fan. Teams that had exemplary quarterbacks focusing on passing games were my favorite. That’s all I wanted to watch. Not some running game. Damnit Emmitt Smith! Anyways, that was ages ago. This new San Francisco team definitely has a different game play. But was I going to become a fan of them once again? Nah, I’ll stay with Washington.
I’ll keep this one short since this isn’t travel or food related. But props to HP for hosting us in their special box seats on the field.

I know you would probably give me grief for not including this. What can I say, they were in the way so I had to take a picture. Seriously!

Just to show you his size, I had to snap this one next to his coach/trainer. The guy was a giant. Don’t know how people tackle this guy.

We were so close I could almost hear each and everyone of them chanting and getting pumped up for the game.

Waiting for his name to be called, NaVorro Bowman stands behind the smoke screen.

don’t know why I wanted to take this picture. Maybe the contrast between the colors and the fans. Or maybe the contrast of what everyone was interested in. The crowd the game, security the crowd, me security’s vest. Man I get weird sometimes. Must be the free booz.

Kaepernick signing a kids cap after the game. Given that they lost by a point, it’s good to see him not taking it out on a fan.

A picture with a Superbowl champ. How much better can this get? Oh yeah, Montana, that would have done it.

Showing off some Superbowl rings.
