Los Danzantes
This ended up being my favorite spot for what I would consider fine dining, even though it never felt overly formal. The space was what pulled me in right away. It was open and airy, set around a courtyard that made everything feel calm and intentional without trying too hard. It felt like a place you could settle into for the night rather than just pass through for a meal.
I went with a bigger group, which made the experience better. We were able to try a range of dishes, and that is really where this place stood out. The food had depth, especially in the sauces, with bold flavors that stayed balanced across everything we ordered. Every dish felt considered, and nothing felt like it was just there to fill the table.
The atmosphere carried the night. It leaned social and lively, but never loud or chaotic. There was a steady energy in the room, with groups talking over long meals, servers moving smoothly through the space, and just enough light to keep it feeling warm without being dim. It struck that rare balance where it felt elevated but still comfortable, the kind of place that made a long dinner feel effortless.

Nicely grilled octopus with a beet salad was a great way to start the meal. Add a bit of the seasoning for an extra little kick.

First time having this dish, a special type of leaf cooked in a green sauce. What you may not see is the cheese within the dish. Unique dish of Oaxaca.
