The Hamilton
Once again I’m back in DC to have lunch with a friend. This time, it was at The Hamilton, a place where I imagine all the power lunchers congregate. It’s a classy place with the lush cushion seats, polished wooden tables, and an attentive wait staff at every corner. Surprisingly, as the lunch crowd rolled in, the formal to casual wear ratio started to change. The place catered to virtual anyone and it’s reflected in their menu. They serve entrees from sushi to Southern comfort foods. An odd combination that they pull off pretty successfully. Not the best in town but well above average.

Verdict: For business lunch or dinner, I’ll be back. Otherwise, I’ll pass.
It was 9/11 so my best bet was to get out of the city as quickly as possible before the gatherings, marches, and motorcyclists come through. Sorry, not too much happened for the remainder of this day of remembrance.

I didn’t order this so I can’t really say how good or bad this was. Looked like the typical shrimp tempura in a roll covered with panko flakes for even more texture. ~$10.00/USD

Not bad as far as chicken wings go. The sauce was lightly drizzled on to keep the wings crispy. While the sauce was a blend of tangy sweet and a hint spicy. Probably not a good choice if you want memorable wings. $11.00USD

I can never pass up trying this dish anywhere I go. This was probably the best thing I had there. The shrimp may taste like their over seasoned, but the grits tone it down. So my recommendation is to cut them up and not try to down the whole thing if you don’t like things too salty. But the cajun seasoning was laid on just right. $15.00USD
