LinkedIn Hong Kong
Today was the day I look for LinkedIn’s Hong Kong office. Not too difficult right? I got the floor, street name, the district, Causeway Bay, and the street number… crap! Why didn’t they send me the street number or even the building name. Oh well, I’ll just look for a sign, a huge one, like the one back in Mountain view. Guest what? This area is filled with signs and my best bet was to persevere in my search going building to building. Awful idea. There was this one building that I went up to the correct floor, walked into the room, and asked, “LinkedIn?” It was a room filled with cubicles and computers. Everyone just looked at me and started speaking Chinese. Not the place. Hell, I didn’t think they even heard of LinkedIn. Gladly, on my third try I found our office. Huzzah! Of course, it’s a temporary space so no signage. That explains everything. Good to find the place and of course, hear about the troubles they have. Globalization isn’t that easy to attain you know.
Anyways, after checking some email it was off to shop and eat in Causeway Bay. Again, didn’t buy anything and only had a quick bite. At the bottom of Sogo there’s a Japanese food court. Decent quality. I had soba to keep things light. That also left room for some Hui Lau Shan. I got myself a cup of mango goodness to keep my sugar levels up during the shopping.
Sorry, not much to add to this day. But for any shopaholics out there, what’s you’re take on Journal Standard. Nice looking stuff. I wanted to buy a coat but don’t know about their quality.

Another staple dish for me in Hong Kong. Not sure how everything comes together so well, but one of these never leaves me hungry or feeling over the top. And for the price, how can anyone complain. $35HKD

Great shopping companion. The sweetness of the mango balanced with coconut and sago makes this so refreshing. However, I found myself drinking from the middle more than the bottom of this cup. Wonder if I should have stirred everything up. $18HKD

If you heard anything about the company culture, you’ll know that this was the result of a recent InDay project.

Yeah, can’t show you what goes on in here, but just know that behind these doors is where the magic happens. Unicorns have nothing on us.

Done right, which this was, the soba should be nice and chewy and be the main course of the meal. Not a base for any protein you so happen to choose. Tempura in this case. $98HKD
