My Favorite Conveyor Belt Sushi
Sushiro Sha Tin (Wo Che)
One of the few chains I’m always happy to return to. This may have been my fifth time before deciding to write about it. This place does conveyor belt sushi at a price point that’s hard to argue with, and the quality has been consistent every time I’ve been.
The wait is the one variable. This location draws a crowd and you should expect a line. What helps is their app, which lets you join the virtual queue remotely and monitor wait times across branches without having to stand there in person. You get a queue number, go do something else nearby, and come back when you’re close. It’s a sensible system. We timed it well this visit — arrived just after the lunch rush cleared out, mostly students from the area who had to head back to class. That opened up seats fast and we were in within 10 minutes.
The food was exactly what you’d expect of a chain restaurant from Japan. It’s fresh and consistent. The bonus is that fact that it’s all reasonably priced. It’s above average sushi for Japanese which equals good quality everywhere else. Nothing here disappoints. That kind of reliability is harder to pull off than it sounds, especially at this price. Note that these conveyors don’t just transport tempting dishes around. It also sends exactly what you ordered from the tablet right to your table.

Verdict: Good conveyor belt sushi at a fair price. Use the app and time it right.

It’s not Hokkaido uni nor Sant Barbara uni, but it’s good uni. Get yourself one of these even iff it would be your first time with sea urchin.

Probably something you could skip. It’s not the premium eel you may be used to which threw me off. There’s plenty of it, but I wanted to save my belly for the good stuff.

Always happy to have this on the menu. The meat is fresh and firm. though I can’t tell if it’s prepared before the lunch rush or when ordered. Either way, it was tasty.

Yes, it’s not from the sea and seems to be a limited run, at least I didn’t see this on the menu the previous visits (at other locations). Of course,I had to give it a try. It’s liver, but the rich and premium kind albeit controversial version, it’s not.

Pretty solid chu toro that’s flamed to bring out the taste.
